The NICU Nurse Educator will support a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit anchored within a comprehensive medical center designated as a Stroke Center and Cardiac Center with a strong Orthopedics program, ensuring the NICU Nurse Educator can coordinate learning and protocols across complex pathways—ranging from advanced respiratory support to perioperative and neuro-cardiac collaborations—so that fragile patients and families receive seamless, world-class care.
The NICU Nurse Educator will report within the nursing education and neonatal service line—collaborating closely with the NICU leadership team, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and physician champions—while shaping orientation, competency validation, skills labs, simulation, preceptor development, policy updates, and regulatory readiness; surrounded by friendly nurses and a diverse interprofessional team including respiratory therapy, lactation consultants, pharmacy, rehabilitation, case management, social work, and child life, the NICU Nurse Educator will be fully supported to mentor clinical teams, hardwire best practices, and drive measurable outcomes in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
