A day in the life — Williamsburg, VA

You arrive on site with a tight-knit, dynamic crew ready to keep projects moving for our client. After a quick safety huddle, you stage reels, prep pathways, and verify test gear. By mid-morning you’re pulling fiber and electrical cable through trays and conduits, reading schematics to plan routes and ensure code compliance. After lunch, you tidy runs, label terminations, and log notes for the supervisor. You wrap by maintaining tools, reporting any issues, and lining up tomorrow’s tasks.

What you’ll do

• Install and pull multiple cable types, including fiber optic and electrical, across diverse environments.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures throughout every stage of installation.
• Coordinate closely with teammates to deliver on schedule and within budget.
• Keep tools, test instruments, and equipment clean, safe, and ready for use.
• Escalate field concerns promptly to the supervisor for resolution.
• Engage in ongoing training to sharpen installation techniques and best practices.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on cabling experience is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors and indoors in varying weather.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Curiosity and adaptability with new methods and technologies.

Technical strengths

• Reading and working from electrical schematics.
• Electrical systems diagnostics and repair fundamentals.
• Electrical installation practices.
• Electrical troubleshooting methods.
