Digital Thread Content Developer

Are you a proactive, organized, and curious individual eager to explore the cutting edge of digital transformation in leading industries? Do you want to contribute to meaningful content that helps shape the future of Aerospace & Defense, Automotive & Transportation? Siemens Digital Industries Software is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our dynamic team as a Digital Thread Content Developer!

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in how complex digital solutions translate into tangible value for customers embarking on their digital transformation journeys. You'll learn how companies achieve greater efficiency, cost savings, faster time-to-market, and improved product quality by leveraging advanced digital technologies

What You'll Do:

As a Digital Thread Content Developer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how we communicate the power of Siemens' digital threads to our customers. Your primary focus will be on developing and documenting content for compelling industry-specific scenarios. This includes:

  • Content Development: Transforming raw content into a structured, template-driven format, making it ready for use in customer engagements.
  • Industry Immersion: Gaining a deep understanding of the Aerospace & Defense, Automotive & Transportation industries, and how digital transformation concepts like Digital Twin and Digital Thread are applied within them.
  • Market Strategy: Learning about the fascinating "go-to-market" process, including sales and marketing strategies for advanced software solutions.
  • Technology Exploration: Diving into the innovative technologies Siemens puts forward to solve complex industry challenges.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking individuals with a strong aptitude for learning and specific soft skills:

  • Highly Organized: You have a knack for structuring information and managing tasks efficiently.
  • Self-Driven & Independent: You're a self-starter who can take initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision to achieve goals.
  • Structured Thinker: You approach problems systematically and can break down complex information.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written communication skills are key for content development.
  • Academic Background (Beneficial, not Required): Students with an engineering background (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering) may find this role particularly engaging as it aligns with product development and lifecycle concepts. However, we encourage applications from all fields of study who demonstrate a keen interest in the role

Tools & Technologies You Might Use:

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
  • Video Editing Tools: Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Camtasia) is a plus, though not strictly required.
  • Industry Solutions: Any prior exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Computer-Aided Design (CAD) solutions would be beneficial, but not a must-have.

Mentorship & Learning Opportunities:

You will receive close guidance from a Siemens expert with extensive industry background. This mentor will provide you with the knowledge and context needed to succeed, and you'll have access to a wealth of resources, including:

  • Direct Mentorship: One-on-one guidance and support from an industry veteran.
  • Online Resources: Access to Siemens' comprehensive internal learning platforms and documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Opportunities to connect with other Siemens colleagues and subject matter experts.
