We seek passionate individuals for the role of Social Worker Advanced, Criminal Justice, to make a meaningful impact on youth and the community. This role involves providing expert clinical and therapeutic social work services in behavioral health to the most clinically demanding youth involved with the Department. Minimum Qualifications: Education determined by the State Board of Social Work Examiners. Experience: Three years of providing clinical, therapeutic, or other social work services involving rehabilitative counseling or forensic social work. Notes: 1. A Doctorate in social work can substitute for up to one year of experience. 2. Military service at the rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher in relevant fields can substitute for experience. Desired Qualifications: Experience providing clinical services to adolescents with mental health or substance abuse issues is preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Must be licensed as a Certified Social Worker-Clinical prior to appointment. A valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license is required for duties involving driving. Special Requirements: Mandatory continuing education, completion of training in group counseling techniques, potential additional certifications, and qualification for the Entry Level Training Academy are required.
