Job Title: Warehouse and Inventory Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse and Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of products and materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves ensuring the quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining organized inventory records, and contributing to the efficiency of the warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and document incoming inventory counts.
  • Inspect the quality of incoming and outgoing product shipments.
  • Operate company vehicles safely with a valid driver's license.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently.
  • Verify incoming shipments against product invoices.
  • Organize and store shipments until they are requested for outgoing orders.
  • Notify management when parts do not arrive on time.
  • Ensure proper accounting for the location of incoming goods.
  • Ensure no damaged items are sent or received.
  • Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure delivery accuracy.
  • Update records as products are received and added to inventory.
  • Package products for returns and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Validate product quantities against invoices or purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with Quality to validate incoming and outgoing calibrated tools.
  • Maintain records in accordance with audit regulations.
  • Manage couriers, trucking companies, and deliveries.
  • Distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to coworkers or customers based on requisitions and reports.
  • Perform other assigned duties related to warehouse operations.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in warehouse and/or receiving operations.
  • 3 years of experience with an ERP system.
  • Experience with International Shipping and Export-Controlled shipments.
  • 3 years of experience using Office 365, with strong Excel knowledge.
  • Forklift certification.
  • US Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in AS9100 audits is a plus.
  • Previous import/export experience is advantageous.
  • Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience in expediting materials and material handling.

Work Environment

Our warehouse operates in a clean room environment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves managing materials in a manufacturing setting, ensuring smooth operations across different departments.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
