Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Purpose & Objective

We’re looking for a curious, hands-on SEO Specialist to help execute and evolve our SEO efforts as part of the Content Marketing organization. This role is ideal for someone early-to-mid career who wants to deepen their SEO craft, work across content and technical initiatives, and make a measurable impact on organic performance.

As an individual contributor, you’ll work closely with content strategists, writers, digital marketers, and platform partners to improve how and where our content shows up in search. You won’t be managing people—but you will own meaningful workstreams and contribute directly to SEO outcomes.

This is not a checkbox SEO role. We’re looking for someone who understands modern SEO fundamentals, enjoys digging into data, and is excited to learn how SEO fits into a larger B2B digital ecosystem—especially as search continues to evolve with AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute SEO & AEO initiatives. Support day-to-day SEO and AEO efforts across content optimization, on-page SEO, internal linking, and basic technical SEO hygiene.
  • Optimize content for search. Partner with content strategists and writers to improve existing content and support the creation of new, search-informed content that serves real user needs.
  • Conduct keyword research and intent mapping. Identify opportunities through competitive keyword research, SERP analysis, keyword clustering, and intent mapping to inform content and optimization priorities.
  • Monitor and report on performance. Track SEO & AEO performance using tools like Google Search Console, Conductor, Adobe Analytics, and SEO tools; surface insights and recommendations.
  • Support technical SEO best practices. Collaborate with platform or web teams to flag issues related to crawlability, indexing, site structure, metadata, and page performance.
  • Apply SEO standards and guidelines. Help ensure SEO best practices are followed across content updates, launches, regions, and site changes.
  • Learn and experiment. Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging AI-influenced search behaviors; test and share learnings with the team.
  • Contribute to operational excellence. Help document processes, templates, and workflows that make SEO easier to scale and repeat.

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or content-focused roles with hands-on SEO responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals: on-page optimization, keyword research, content SEO, internal linking, and basic technical concepts.
  • Experience using SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar).
  • Comfort working with data and translating insights into clear recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration skills—you can work effectively with content, marketing, and technical partners.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, especially around how search is evolving with AI and automation.
  • Clear communicator who can explain SEO concepts in plain language.
  • Bonus: Experience in B2B, SaaS, or enterprise content environments.
