Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)

Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant to perform data collection, data analysis, and assist with report development for client projects. You will be responsible for implementing key activities according to project-specific Scopes of Work and within designated timelines. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining regular communication with our Research Associates and Project Managers. Research Assistants may be required to conduct on-site observations of programs later in the afternoon on rare occasions (e.g., four to five times per quarter).

Primary Responsibilities

• Data Management: Coordinate and schedule data collection activities with clients; maintain project datasets (entering, verifying, cleaning, and coding).
• Collection & Analysis: Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection (interviews, focus groups, surveys, document reviews) and perform subsequent analyses.
• Reporting: Summarize data in tables, graphs/charts, and narrative formats; assist with writing evaluation reports and other product deliverables.
• Client Engagement: Assist with client training and participate in meetings and presentations.
• Research Support: Conduct literature reviews and assist in the development of surveys and data collection instruments.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree at minimum in a social science (Education preferred).
• Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a public or charter school OR 2 years working in education or social science research.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel in a research or educational administration environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint .
• Technical Skills: Formal training in the use of SPSS or a similar statistical analysis program. Experience using a major AI program in a work setting such as Google Gemini, Open Ai’s ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude is required.
• Communication: Demonstrated written and spoken English language proficiency.
• Logistics: Must have a valid United States driver’s license for occasional travel to conduct site visits at client sites.
