Job Description

About PrePass

PrePass® is North America's most trusted weigh station bypass and toll management platform. We’re transforming how the transportation industry operates—creating solutions that keep trucks moving safely, efficiently, and compliantly. This means making bold decisions and building scalable systems that support not only fleets but the broader economy. It all starts with enabling commercial vehicles to keep rolling through seamless toll management, weigh station bypass, and safety solutions. It’s what we do best, and we do it to meet the demands of the road every day.

That’s why people join us: our solutions operate in real time on highways and interstates across the nation, helping fleets go farther, faster. This work is high-impact and complex, requiring thoughtful leadership, strong execution, and a deep understanding of customer and business needs. We hire bold thinkers with a heart for impact, a passion for progress, and the optimism to shape the future of transportation.

  • Perform hands-on field testing to validate seamless hardware and software integration, document detailed results, and conduct data-driven analysis.

Automation & Quality Assurance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts across multiple projects.
  • Improve test efficiency and coverage by identifying opportunities for automation and testing process improvements.
  • Ensure integration and regression testing is completed prior to product releases.

Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Development Managers to identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve defects and issues.
  • Participate in Agile (SCRUM) environments and support Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Defect Management & Process Improvement

  • Report, track, and verify software defects and requirements-related issues.
  • Analyze defects, support root cause analysis, and verify fixes.
  • Assist in developing and improving systematic approaches to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no current or future visa sponsorship available).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mobile software or application testing on Android and iOS devices, including at least 1 year of test automation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and SQLite.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing software features and functional requirements, and designing, planning, executing, and maintaining test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience with defect reporting, issue tracking, verifying bug fixes, and coordinating testing activities with development and QA teams.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with hardware testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing on iOS and Android platforms using Appium.
