Ken Garner Manufacturing is looking for a Paint Shop Helper to support our paint department in Chattanooga. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within the manufacturing and painting processes of heavy equipment parts.

As a Paint Shop Helper, you will assist the paint technicians in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and ensuring that all materials are organized and ready for use. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, willing to learn , and capable of supporting a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Assisting with the mixing and preparation of paint materials.
• Organizing tools and materials for efficient workflow.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the paint shop area.
• Following safety protocols and procedures while working.
• Supporting paint technicians in various tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or paint shop environment is a plus but not required.

Must bring 2 of the following to interview:

• Valid ID/ Driver’s license (either way it needs to be govt. issued)

• SS card

• Birth Cert (original or certified copy)

• Military ID

• Valid Passport

Employees are eligible for a full benefit package:

10 paid holidays + 1 week vacation after 6 months, 2 weeks after 18 months, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10.

Medical, dental and vision insurance is offered at very reasonable rates. Family coverage is approximately $95 per week.

Uniforms provided. Pay is weekly. Regularly scheduled performance reviews.
