*** Will draw 1-5 vials of blood from every patient in a high-volume clinic*** *** Requires recent experience/proficiency with venipuncture*** ***There is a separate BR for local candidates*** Primary Location: 1919 Santa Monica Blvd. Float Location: IM in Marina Del Rey Shift: 8 hours between 0730-1730 Required Qualifications: 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program HSD/GED BLS (AHA or ARC) Experience with CS-Link/Epic Flu vaccinated (no exemptions/no declinations) Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Job Duties: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
