We are hiring experienced Industrial Pipefitters for multiple upcoming new construction and expansion projects at papermills and related processing facilities. These are heavy industrial environments—not commercial work—and require individuals who understand how to work safely, efficiently, and to specification in active industrial plants. The majority of piping systems will be carbon steel, with some stainless steel systems. Candidates must be capable of fitting, aligning, and assembling piping systems to engineered drawings and isometric plans with minimal supervision. This is hands-on industrial work. We’re looking for seasoned fitters who know their trade and show up ready to perform.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, assemble, and fit carbon steel piping systems (primary scope)
• Install and work with stainless steel piping as required
• Read and interpret:
o Isometric drawings
o P&IDs
o Spool sheets
o Blueprints and layout drawings
• Measure, cut, bevel, and prep pipe accurately
• Align pipe for welders, including proper fit-up and tolerances
• Install valves, flanges, hangers, supports, and related components
• Perform bolt-up, torqueing, and flange alignment
• Assist with hydrotesting and system tie-ins
• Work safely around other crafts in active industrial environments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Project Environment
• Heavy industrial papermill and processing plant facilities
• New construction and plant expansions
• Outdoor and indoor work depending on project phase
• Potential for elevated work, confined spaces, and large-bore piping
This is not light-duty work. Candidates must be comfortable in a true industrial setting.
Minimum Qualifications
• 4+ years of industrial pipefitting experience (or equivalent)
• Experience on industrial construction or expansion projects
• Strong background working with carbon steel piping systems
• Experience with stainless systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
• Must bring:
o Personal pipefitting hand tools
o Required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)
• Must pass on-site drug test on Day 1
• Reliable transportation to jobsite
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in papermills or similar processing plants
• Familiarity with hydro testing procedures
• Experience working around operating equipment
• OSHA certification (10 or 30)
