Job Description

Job Purpose:

Maintains hotel rooms by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing; and by providing linen services.

Duties:

• Follow cleaning schedule priorities based on room assignment lists.
• Announces presence before entering rooms and returns to occupied rooms later if needed.
• Makes bed and replace soiled linens, sheets, and pillowcases.
• Remove trash, newspapers, room service trays, and mini-bar items.
• Clean and refresh bathroom, including tubs, toilets, sinks, and linens.
• Replenish guest room supplies, toiletries,  and stationery.
• Wash and vacuum floors
• Dust and polish furniture and glass surfaces.  
• Conserve energy by adjusting shades and thermostats in unoccupied rooms.
• Notify supervisors of room readiness
• Restock Housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
• Maintain equipment and report necessary repairs. 
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment by following all standard and regulations.
• Clean and Maintain restrooms in the Restaurant, Bar and Ball Room areas
• Assists the Laundry department as needed.

Qualifications:

• - Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• - Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands

• - Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds independently.
• - Capability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of a shift.
• - Ability to climb stairs and navigate the property throughout the shift.
• - Ability to remain productive in a fast-paced environment and work in various environmental conditions.

Pay Rate:
$15.00 to $17.00 per hour, dependent on experience
