JOB POSITION:  Event Management & Services Director

TYPE:  Remote Work Position

POSITIONS TO HIRE: 1

START DATE:  June-July 2026

COMPENSATION: Annual starting salary: $65,000 USD

Seeking an experiences and strategic leader to oversee the launch, growth and execution of our our full-service event management and services division, Degy 360°. This leadership role will build and operationalize Degy360° from the ground up, establishing comprehensive event management capabilities that leverage Degy's 30-year legacy in entertainment talent procurement and execution.

As Director, you will be responsible for establishing operational frameworks, building client relationships, developing service delivery standards, and positioning the company as a premier full-service event management and services organization. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution as you translate the defined scope of services into operational reality, manage client engagements from inception through execution, and build a foundation for scalable growth.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive, large-scale event management experience with demonstrated success in building service offerings, managing complex events from concept to completion, and driving business development in competitive markets. You will work directly with company leadership while having autonomy to shape the division's approach and client experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

• Lead the operational launch and growth of Degy360 as a full-service event management division

• Develop and execute business development strategies targeting military/DoD, corporate, festival, and institutional event markets

• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement contacts across target verticals

• Create strategic roadmap for service expansion and market positioning

• Develop pricing models, proposal frameworks, and contract templates aligned with defined scope of services

Client Engagement & Project Management

• Serve as primary client relationship manager for Degy360 engagements

• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and project scoping processes

• Manage end-to-end event execution including planning, logistics, technical and production vendor coordination, and on-site management

• Coordinate entertainment procurement through Degy's existing talent-buying operations

• Ensure exceptional service delivery across core services, value-add offerings, and client-led coordination

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Establish and document standard operating procedures for all service tiers

• Build and manage technical and service vendor networks across key categories

• Recommend project management systems, tracking tools, and quality control processes

• Develop event budgets, manage financial performance, and ensure profitability targets

• Oversee risk management, insurance compliance, and contractual liability protection strategies

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Degy's existing departments (talent buying, marketing, operations) to deliver integrated solutions

• Build hiring plan and recruit additional event operations staff as division scales

• Partner with senior management to align Degy360 strategy with overall company objectives

• Provide regular performance reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in event management

• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and enter new market verticals

• Gather client feedback and market intelligence to inform service evolution

• Stay current on best practices, technology solutions, and industry innovations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in large-scale live event management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Demonstrated success managing complex events from concept through execution across multiple event types
  • Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation
  • Experience with government, corporate, festival, or institutional event markets strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of event operations including artist management, venue management, vendor coordination, logistics, on-site execution, and safety
  • Excellence in budget development, financial management, and P&L responsibility
  • Expertise in risk management, insurance requirements, and contractual compliance
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into operational execution
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build from ground up
  • Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Office suite, and event management software
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and event execution
  • Must be a United States Citizen or qualified to work in the U.S. Must be based in the United States.
