Overview:

We are holding open interviews on Wednesday, February 25th from 12:00pm-5:00pm ! Stop by to see the distribution center, meet the team, and interview on the spot. We are located at 10 Isidor Ct., Sparks, NV 89441 . 

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of all equipment within the Service Center. Duties may include accurately moving, stacking, and loading product, consolidating, and staging pallets for putaway. The position requires being taken up to 30 feet in the air on equipment. Automation Operators' duties include ensuring maximum throughput, first level troubleshooting of equipment problems including use of computer logs, and communicating labor needs to maximize the running hours of the machinery. All operators must be able to certify on any machine within the warehouse as business needs dictate.

Available full-time shifts:

• 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am
• Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm
• 1st Shift:  Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center. Equipment Operator equipment includes: order picker, swing reach truck, reach truck, and any other machines as needed. Automation Operator equipment includes inbound receiving line, outbound single box line, and autobagger.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift and at full capacity, including checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights and maneuver equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.
• Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor or maintenance team; clean equipment.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Read, write, operate RF and Print and Apply printing device, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
• Bring problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director, or HR manager.
• Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Required to stand (stationary position) and walk during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
• Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly and 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
• Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
• Must be able to meet the certification and operating requirements for machines including all OSHA and harness regulations.
• Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of previous equipment operations experience highly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English* to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.

*This requirement is critical to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. It is not a requirement of Foot Locker that employees speak English only while at work.

Base rate paid bi-weekly : $23.00 / hr 

Shift incentives:

• Weekend shift: Should you work your full scheduled 36.00 hours, 40.00 will be paid out.
• 3rd shift: $1.25 per hours worked
