Job Description

As an Engineering Technician II the technician supports resort operations by performing maintenance tasks including projects preventive maintenance and work orders.

As an Engineering Tech II you will: 

• Perform engineering projects guest calls blitzes and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues make repairs and replace fixtures and piping as needed
• Diagnose replace and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures
• Understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics
• Repair interior and exterior walls wall coverings and ceilings including texturing painting and caulking
• Repair or replace tiles grout vinyl and carpet as required
• Work with pools spas and water features including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks
• Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work
• Operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems)
• Communicate professionally through radios phones emails and verbal interactions
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management
• Safely use hand tools power tools and battery-powered tools required for the job
• Work using ladders scaffolding lifts and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Follow safety guidelines and practices
• Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property
• Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution
• Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures
• Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance attire and behavior
• Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.
• Written and verbal communication in English is expected.
• Regularly the team member must lift move push or pull up to 50 pounds.
