Job Description

Position: Accountant / Bookkeeper

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

Pay Rate: $8 per hour

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to manage our accounting department, which oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, move-in/move-out calculations, lease renewals, rent bumps, credit card and loan payments, and owner statements. This role involves maintaining accurate company books, leading a small team, and collaborating with outside CPAs for monthly account reconciliations. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Fully responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Perform move-in and move-out calculations, lease renewals, and rent adjustments.

Handle credit card payments, loan payments, and prepare owner statements.

Work with outside CPAs for monthly reconciliation of accounts.

Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Collaborate with other staff members to maintain an organized and productive management team.

Foster a positive and healthy work environment while delivering results.

Qualifications

Leadership Experience: Minimum 1–2 years as a team lead.

Industry Experience: At least 5 years in real estate property management, preferably handling tenant ledgers and owner statements.

Communication Skills: Strong English writing and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Open to feedback and continuous improvement.

Preferred: CPA certification.

Schedule: Must be comfortable working graveyard shifts.
